Dofus - Osamodas - Summoner Guide to Victory - [ Dofus Kamas ]

I'm trying to make the ideal guide for

Osamodas', so please rate

Osamodas are considered

by most players weak, I want to proof they are wrong

To begin there are a few

different builds for Osamodas’:

Pure strenth:
You only raise strenth, scroll

vitality and scroll intelligence
Build to use hammers later on for self defence, intelligence

to use ghostly/crow on a distance.
Summons as extra help

Pure vitality:
You only raise vitality and purely rely on summons:
Not advised: relying on your

summons is VERY dangerous, they almost never do what you had in mind. Either do this build

if you got loads of time, cash to scroll your intelligence or when you are a good tactician.
But I’m still open for new ideas

Chance/vitality:
You raise chance and

vitality:
Main attack: lashing claw (our only water attack) + a water wand/bow
You also rely on summons but are able to defend yourself.
Lashing claw has the

same range as ghostly claw and the damages are also very similar.
Stay away!

Pure intelligence:
You raise intelligence and scroll vitality:
Main attack:

ghostly claw/crow and Punch of the crackler (PoC)
You rely less on summons.
This

is the best option since we can’t entirely trust our so lovely, powerful dumb, low hp

summons.
I will go in further on this one.

Main stats:
Intelligence:

raise as high as possible (you could even scroll this 25/50 points if you got the money)
Vitality: try to scroll as high as possible

Other stats:
Chance: we got one

water spell that does the same damage as ghostlt: stay away!
Agility: scroll this

to get away from enemies, else: don’t look at it.
Strength: some hammers require a high

strength, but since we’re intelligence based we use PoC and not hammers.
Wisdom: Like

all other classes: scroll this one but never put points from levelling in it.

If you’re

low on cash go for 1 vit/ 4 int or 2 vit/3 int.
Vitality is very important: if we die or

summons die and don’t expect that they will sacrifice themselves…

Spells:
Lvl 1
Summoning of Tofu:
Summons a tofu that does air damage
This is a

spell that some hate and others love, I’m part of group B  It basically summons a

suicidal chick that runs to the enemy, does around 0-30 damage and then a) runs away cool.gif gets himself killed
Either you max this or you leave it, I would max, it

helps you a lot in the early lvles and midlevls and sometimes even in the high lvls (although I

doubt you have time to summon one if you’re lvl 70+) Tofus also rock against dopples: just

go as far away and tofuspam!

The Ghostly claw:
Your first fire

spell! This is also the second big choice in your Osamodas career: you can choose to

max this one or crow. In my opinion ghostly is better because you have the chance to do 1

damage with crow while with ghostly you’ll always do semi-good damage.

Bear’s

cry:
This one gives + damage and is STACKABLE.
Don’t lvl it until lvl 101, then it

only cost 1 AP and you can cast it every 2 turns.

Lvl 3
Crow:
Like I

said, you must choose between this one and ghostly. The fact that it doesn’t require Line of

Sight (LoS) and that it has 1 more range than ghostly doesn’t make up that the damage is

worthless: you got the change of hitting very very low. Although at lvl 6 the damage

increases from 1 to 3, I would still go for ghostly.

Lvl 6
Feline Movement:
You gonna love this one, it buffs your summon with +MP for a low AP cost.

Lvl 9
Summoning of Goball:
Your second summon is a… what? An obese sheep

that aint got the brains to attack the closest enemy? Although it’s quiet handy as a shield

but by no means put spellpoints here.

Lvl 13
Toad:
Worthless buff

that reduces damage.

Lvl 17
Summoning of prespic:
A summon that

lowers the AP of enemies.
The AP loss is dodge able
Also it doesn’t matter how

much AP you give it, it will only cast once. Higher lvled prespics will also use the spell counter

(reflects damage) I never used this one so I got no opinion… Can someone say if its useful to

lvl?

Lvl 21
Whip:
A spell that does high damage against summons,

very handy and it only costs 1 AP. The downside is that you can only cast it once in your

turn 

Lvl 26
High-energy shot:
Everything is cool about this

spell: nice effect, nice range and a cool animation! It gives your summon AP, that way

he can attack double (or triple, who knows tongue.gif)
Lvl 31
Animal Blessing:
Spell that gives you +summon.
This is one of those spells that

is good enough at lvl 1, then it gives you +1 summon. You may lvl this to 3 for +2 summons if

you will never have many +summon equipment. (although it’s fun to see 2 extra tofus running

around )

Lvl 36
Lashing Claw:
Useless, doesn’t need more

words.

Lvl 42
Animal Healing:
Spell that heals your summons. Because

of our intelligence we can heal our summons quit a bit without lvling this spell. It’s good

enough at lvl 1.

Lvl 48
Summoning of Boar:
This farm animal can save

your life or ruin it. It’s a good tank and pushes enemies back. Experiment a bit with this one

before you lvl it; it happens that the boar pushes the enemy near you…

LVL

54
PUNCH OF THE CRACKLER:
Woot, you made it! Now you can actually

defend yourself! This spell does good fire damage in a great area, although it’s linear

and the enemy may not be far away it still is better than any hammer. Max this!

Lvl 60
Natural Defense:
Raises the vitality of your summons, I don’t use

this often and I also didn’t lvl it, so I’m open for suggestions.

Lvl 70
Fangs

of Boowolf:
It increases the damage of summons in percent, quit handy but only useful

at lvl 3-5.

Lvl 80
Summoning of Magus Bwork:
This thing does great

damage at a great range… Where’s the catch? Well, most of the time he just summons a crap

evil tofu. If you want to know the behaviour of the evil tofu see your lvl 1 spell: summoning

of tofu.

Lvl 90
Summoning of Crackler:
Summons a giant walking rock

that has loads of HP (because you are lvl 90…) Does good damage AND drains the AP of the

enemy, this combined with a high energy shot and feline movement = ownage.

Lvl

100
Summoning of Red Wyrmling:
Yep, you made it… you got a summon that does

super damage, increases the damage of other summons or unbewitch… For the cost of low

HP… Also it will almost never do what you had in mind, come across a feca? He will try to

boost the damage of other summons. A Cra? He will unbewitch, etc…

But where

do I have to put those spell points now?
Here’s the list:
Max Tofu
Max

ghostly or Max crow
Lvl 3 feline movement
Lvl 3/5 Whip
Lvl 4 High energy

shot
Lvl 1/3 Animal Blessing
Lvl 1/4/5 Summoning of Boar
Max Punch of

Crackler
Lvl 1/3/4/5 Fangs of Boowolf
Max Summoning of Magus Bwork
Max

Summoning of Crackler
Max Summoning of Red Wyrmling

Raise to lvl 6 if you

have the points:
Max ghostly
Max Bear Cry
(if you like something else: lvl

tofu to 6, with 8 AP you can summon 2 in the same round = Tofu army!!!)

PvP
Lvl 1-11
In general:
Summon your tofus and defend yourself

with ghostly/goball hammer.

Lvl 11-21
In general:
Summon tofus and

defend yourself with ghostly/goball hammer

Specific:
Sram
On lvl 17

these guys get invisibility: sometimes your summons will attack him even if he is invisible…

Just get your goball and prespic out, tofuspam, boost them all and run away and hop he will

become visible…
Allso if he goes to a hard to get place and begins to set traps, plz don’

t summon your tofus… that’s wasting your time get close and hope he closed himself in XD

Sadida
Don’t get close, hide and don’t let him sooth you! Whip his

sacrificial dolls when possible. Get a goball out to protect you once from his bramble, a

prespic is handy to block LoS and interrupt the dolls. Tofu spam him and don’t even think to

go close and ghostly him!

Xelors
Tofu spam isn’t very effective (he

just uses slowdown, counter or kills them) Hiding wont help (teleportation) Try to block LoS

with goball and prespic. Try to ghostly him down and don’t end your turn in a unprotected

straight line, else he will Dark ray/Xelor’s sandglass you.

Cra:
Hide yourself

and tofu spam then a) he runs farther away then 10 MP (tofu MP) cool.gif he comes closer. In the case of a) you’re screwed… or you stay there and

hope to bore him to death or you charge and get killed doing it… in case cool.gif tofu spam him and when he’s close enough: ghostly.

Lvl 21 –

48
In general:
Still tofu spam him, summon prespic/goball to block LoS and a boar

to protect yourself when they are close. Defend with ghostly and crow (if summons are in

the way or it’s to dangerous without cover)

Specific:
Sadida
Very hard

to win against, try to avoid them…
Same tactic as lvl 11-21 except you need to find

protection from his manifold which is nearly impossible…

Xelors
Also very

hard, tofu spam will not help even a little bit this time: they can go hide too, even farther

then 10 MP and Homing Hand you to death. Because of temporal dust you cant find cover

easily. If they teleport close get those LoS blockers before you and the boar to get him

away, hide behind LoS blockers and boar and crow/ghostly him.

Enripsas
They heal more with regenerating word then our summons damage them. So get up close

ghostly/crow them with help of summons (especially tofus, if they don’t have leek pie there’s

no way they can kill them, if those birds atleast run away again…) A prespic that takes even

only 1 AP away can save your life. By all means don’t let him damage you with his wand.

Feca
Tofu spam is useless with lvl 1 wind armour they will get only little to no

damage from tofus, goball will not damage either, leaving prespics and boar. Prespic gets

himself killed in the first turn he lives but it’s still a handy LoS blocker together with the

goball. The boar CAN damage a feca he just needs to survive long enough, get close,

summon boar, heal him non stop and hope that the boar push’ him against the end of the

map. If you get there and your boar or you aren’t dead then you got a little chance to win:

the boar pushes the feca against the border inflicting damage, shields will NOT help him. If

this doesn’t work try ghostly or a good hammer, but you will die eventually…

Lvl

48 – 70
In general:
A) If you are far away, look for cover and summon tofus, if

they get closer, get a goball and/or prespic, if they get even more closer get up a boar and

crow/ghostly him. Once he’s in PoC range smack him (try to not kill the boar or other

summons…) and go back to your cover (if possible) or run away.
cool.gif Summon your boar and boost him with everything you got, stay behind him

and heal him if he receives damage. Once close let the boar fight, while you crow/ghostly him

and hide behind the boar. Once the boar is dead or the enemy gets passed him use PoC.
Plan B is most of the time stupid because your boar will be dead in ½ hits but if your

fighting a player that does low damage you got a good chance that the boar will survive.

Specific:
Sadidas:
Nearly impossible now: tofuspam: useless, he just

summons inflatable’s who heal the little damage, IF the tofus can get to him and don’t attack

another doll. Hammer, PoC, ghostly, crow: you have to come to close = toast.

Will be updated if I can duel more people

Nice guide to Dofus Osamodas but you missed out my build.

I guess I’m a vit Osa, but with one key difference – I didn’t lvl the summons, I lvld the buffs.

I do have some Int (which is then reduced with the gear) because I figured as the +Ap gear

gets less penalties later on I'd need it then.

Using my 9Ap or 10Ap set I can summon a tofu (lvl 2) and cast bears (lvl5) and then either

toad (lvl5) for ranged attackers or HES (lvl 4 I think) for melee monsters. Next turn I cast the

other of the two. My lvl 2 tofu can then hit for around 15 a hit average (x2) which then

increases with 7 damage every few turns.

I’ve been lvling on the lvl 60 Fungi mobs ever since I got whip and got to 38 so far without

trying too hard. I have lvl 2 tofu & gobball as I figured 1 point was worth the little extra. All

the -300 stats are fairly irrelevant – with + dam gear I can still do 3x12 a turn with crow, or

just release & run. I’m looking into moving towards critical hits too – most of the boosts have

them and doing +16 dam on a summon every other go would be pretty good.

Most interesting is lvling with another Osa with lvl 5 summons. I just boost theirs for superb

damage (seeing tofu’s block 50+ damage from overlapped Toad is pretty cool).

No idea about PvP – I’d play Arena if I wanted that.

My lvl 104 vit osamoda, whitch transformed few times and now is mainly str, whips for over

400, uses terps hammer, hitting ~300 dmg per crit with it at 50%. And uses summons often.

Nowhere near this ideal build i guess, i still like it though:)

Okay ... so I followed the Wiki guides first when I started my first osa ... he's lvl 125 and

pretty decent since I had (another story) fantastic equips.

Went straight off what I had learned over the last 6 months building my first osa and started

a new one:

Pretty much my ideal so far.

Scrolled Wisdom and Intel max before ever using a character point (costs a ton but proving

to be totally worth it)

Spells: (notice I didn't lvl any summons til lvl 90) - thus not spending any $$$ to de lvl them

once you get to lvl 100 and never use them again.

LVL 5 ASAP
Ghostly
Weapon Skill
Whip
Poc
Fangs
Crack
Wyrm

LVL 5 next
Toad (didn't do this the first time around but finding it very helpful now)

Other Spells:
High Energy to +3ap
Feline to +3mp

I lvled mainly on Fungi Masters (keep your drops for scrolls) and Moon Island (keep your

drops for Dora Bora Later) in a really nice Prespic Set. Yeah lvl 100 in prespic but I got there

in less than a month.

Went with Wand since my first Osa is hammer. Used Fire Forged Wand in Treechnid root for

wisdom for a long time and now use Fire Forged Unreal Wand. Great Wand (but random) since

there is no LOS.

Lvl 6 Ghostly and Weapon Skill by lvl 101 and plan on Toad at lvl 105 (since it drops to 1ap at

lvl 6). I know I will want lvl 6 whip and then will spend a ton of time lvlng on dreggs to make

some money to buy some decent equips again.

Just my thoughts and observations.

==== About Dofus ====
Dofus is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published

by Ankama Studio, a French computer game manufacturer. Dofus is set in the world of

Amakna, which is an anagram of Ankama. Its success led to the marketing of by-products,

like books, and with the development of two continuations: Dofus Arena, a tactical online

multiplayer game, released at the beginning of 2006, is an alternative "tournament" version of

Dofus; and Wakfu which is currently in preparation and should be released by the end of

2007.

Dofus is a role-playing game in which players create characters that serve as their avatar in

the online world. The player can choose from twelve different classes, one of which is

reserved for subscribers.

One can lose easily thanks to the hard monsters.

Combat is played out "turn by turn" on squared charts. Within a turn, each player can

advance 3 squares and use up to 6 "attack points", used to cast spells. The AP (attack

points) and MP (movement points) can be increased in later evolution of the character, by

using certain equipment.

When a character dies, they lose a specific amount of money and energy that is able to be

regained while sitting in a tavern before logging off, or by using certain objects. If all of your

energy is exhausted, you will take the form of a ghost which will be used to very slowly reach

a statue of a phoenix, where it will be able to resurrect your character and regain a part of

its vital energy (1000 points). A character's maximum energy is 10,000, but this can be raised

upon reaching certain orders within an alignment. There is a possibility that a priest (who is

another play who has reached this rank) will return the fallen player to the "human form" with

a portion of their energy, usually in exchange for some Kamas.

Characters can join and form guilds, which make it possible for the members to speak with

each other, to coordinate each other, set up a tax collector to take sales/taxes carried out

by the players who are not members of the guild, or to steal the objects dropped from

monsters at the end of a fight.

A system of alignment makes it possible to take part in a war between the cities Bonta (City

of the Angels) and that of Brakmar (City of the Demons), in the form of a players versus

players mode (PvP). Since the 1.13 update, points can be gained from these fights, and

hence a PvP scene developed. The third alignment, named Sériane-Kern (represented by

wings made of wood and fabric), makes it possible to remain neutral and to carry out

contracts provided by other players. However, this alignment is only available on the first

server, Jiva.

A new update in the game makes it possible to breed Dragoturkeys. This makes it possible to

go twice as fast compared to running. As such, there are breeding enclosures available to

players to breed their mounts.

Classes

There are twelve different classes. The choice of class determines which spells your

character will receive, as well as how much characteristic upgrades will cost. The class

names are inside jokes amongst the developers, often (but not always) referring in some way

to the abilities of the class. For example, the Xelor class which uses time magic in combat,

derives its name from Rolex, a watch manufacturer.

* Sadida's Boots ("Adidas" backwards) - Nature-influenced direct damage and voodoo doll

summoning.
* Eniripsa's Hands (Aspirine, the French spelling of "Aspirin") - Specialized in healing and

invoking spells to increase the abilities of their allies.
* Iop's Heart (named for Yop yogurt drink, a developer in-joke) - Attack-based class with

many powerful spells, however they have short range.
* Cra's Range (Arc, French for "bow") - Archer class specializing in bow and arrow attacks

that have long range to attack enemies from far away.
* Feca's Shield (café, French for coffee, another inside joke) - Defensive magic user, usually

the last man standing in a fight.
* Sacrier's Blood (sacrifice + crier; the French name is sacrieur, sacrifice + rieur, "one who

laughs") - Attacks based on sacrifice and self-damage to deal more powerful attacks.
* Osamodas' Whip (Sado-Maso{chism}) - Summoner class that can call creatures to its aid.
* Ecaflip's Coin ("pilface" is a shortened form of "pile ou face", which means "tails or heads") -

Gambler class whose attacks are powerful but can backfire and harm the player.
* Enutrof's Fingers (Fortune) - Treasure seeker class that starts off weaker in battle but

finds dropped items at a faster rate.
* Xelor's hourglass (Rolex) - Masters of time, able to delay or speed up units in battle by

taking or adding Action Points (AP) to enemies and/or allies.
* Sram's Shadow (Mars Bar, yet another inside joke) - thief/assassin class, specializing in

different types of hidden traps, invisibility and powerful close combat.
* Pandawa's pint (Padawan or Panda Warrior) - While sober, they're a support class, carrying

allies around the battlefield and lowering enemies' elemental resistance. When drunk, they

become formidable close-range fighters, with reduced movement but powerful attacks and

damage reduction. This class is available only for paid players(p2p).

According to a post on this topic on the official forums, Feca, Iop, and Sram were the first

three classes created, so the developers named them after their favorites among the various

snacks they enjoyed while making the game, and the names have nothing to do with the

classes themselves.
